heres a thought, for traders who trade or buy 20 discs, they can get a stamped discaroo mini. There should also be an option to buy these minis. What a great way for you to make some money and advertise your site as well.

corn, that seems lika alot to add to hte site. I actually dont care why they are gettingrid of it, If I want it , I wnat it. All that other information is on the manufactures sites and doesnt need to cloud up discaroo. Not downing your thoughts, I just cant see any real benefit.

Corndawg,

Can you explain the personal review idea a bit more? Would this be different than the space for additional comments you have when listing a disc?

I have thought about a couple ideas involving "free" Discaroo Dollars. The problem is that in the long run it ends up costing me real money to give them away (even without traders being able to cash out anymore).

Eventually there will be too much currency on the site and not enough plastic which will cause inflation (i.e. the currency will start to lose value). At this point I have to step in and buy back a bunch of Discaroo Dollars to take them out of the Discaroo economy and restore the needed balance. What I will likely do when this time comes is make some tshirts or custom Discaroo stamped discs and sell them on the site. That, or I will offer a limited time offer of cashing people out for US dollars.

Anyhow, this is the long explanation of why I am being careful about giving anything away. I'll have to pay for Discaroo Dollars too in the long run.

I lovethe fact of cleaning the older stuff off line. I made another trade today on the site and love it. A gear section would be killer. 1, 4, 5, 3, 2 would be my order of importance.

Here's a change I just made that looks to have removed about 200 stale disc listings:

Accounts which haven't been used in over 6 months will be automatically Paused in order to, hopefully, cut down on the trade requests that never get responded to. It's an attempt to cut down on the stale listings without actually deleting discs or users. This uses the same setting found under myDiscaroo > Account Settings > Pause Account.

I am looking for some feedback from some Discaroo users on what features they would like to see next on the site. Here's some ideas I have and that you've given me the last few months:

You can vote for just one or rank them in order of importance to you. Thanks!

1. Gear section to trade/sell bags, baskets, clothing etc.
2. Forums
3. Trader Friends - you could add a trader as a friend to keep closer tabs when they add new stuff to the site and you could choose to only view the listings of your friends, etc.
4. Easier, better search
5. Limit the dropdowns (models, brand etc.) based on previous choice. In other words: if you picked Innova as a brand the model dropdown would only show Innova discs rather than every disc in creation.
6. Other - got an idea?

sorry for the "adult" dyes. I never even thought about the pictures. I have removed and/or censored them. If I have any more that may be objectable, please let me know. Thanks.

Jason,

Try the Automatch tool if you aren't using it already. Also, in many cases it will be easier to sell your disc on the site and then use the Discaroo Dollars to buy what you want.

Hey All,

I just set up my account on Discaroo. Like the concept. Tried one trade and got shot down. Knew I would so not biggie. One of those try and get it if they are tired of the disc lying around.

Anyway, if you get bored give me a few pointers on it if you have any advice for a newbie trader.
