The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I played my first ice bowl and walked away with a Saranac Adirondack Trail Mix 12er. At lunch they did a CTB (closest to the beer) competition; placing 8 or 10 6's and 12ers out on the frozen lake. It was great to see what would have been a 100' shot skip slide and spin like 350'. I suppose is should mention it was a dollar a throw or 6 for $5.
Also back in college, during casual play, my friend and I would play for a quarter a hole. He was better than I was, and I'd always end up owing him like 2.50 at the end of the game. He would generally accept payment in the form a of a 40oz.

That was a cool idea giving prizes like a 12er. CTB...maybe I could do that in my tourney in April.

I am co-hosting 2nd annual Bloomin' Days tourney on the weekend of April 11-13, 2008. Any discs you would part ways would be great. Let me know...thanks!
This is one of my favorite stories that falls into this category.

This summer I was playing a doubles league at Buffumville in Charlton, MA, which happened to be the same week as the MSDGC.

Jay and Des Reading were there to play league, which was totally awesome.

Well I ended up taking a CTP on one of the holes. The CTP prize was a microbrew beer that Jay Reading had brought from someplace down south. Then we hung out, drank the beer, and shot the breeze.

Totally awesome time!
