for a few years now i've been able to rationalize spending any amount of money on my ales, but my wife and i are buying our first home and it's going to cut into my beer budget. so i'd like to address the fact that cheap beer doesn't have to be poor quality beer. i know that location has a significant impact on what is available and at what cost. i live in northwestern new jersey, about a mile from the new york border. i used to drink a fair amount of beer from pocono brewery out of pa and that was about as cheap as i could find. so what's the best brew for your buck?

p.s. fee free to send me free beer or discs :-)
i used to live in the lehigh valley (35 mins N of Philly)
the cheapest thing possible is berger beer, its a plain black case that generically says beer on the side... it is pretty much not the best thing ever but it was less then $8 for a 24 case....
also lionshead lager is cheap as well.... don't get me wrong, your not getting the best flaver in the world, but the way i do in tough times is drink about 2 expensive beers then once your taste buds arn't working up to par you switch over to the cheappy stuff.....
yuengling just now able to buy the stuff in GA but cheap and good but if you know the right people at Terripan brewery in athens GA you can get free beer by volenttering
