In October I loaded up the car and drove from Alaska to Ohio, following my wife and her new job.  My brother flew up to drive down with me and we planned the trip around two important things: disc golf and Red Wings hockey.  We knew we had to be in Columbus by Oct. 25th to watch the Wings take on the Blue Jackets (they played terribly, losing 4-1).  But, we also built in a couple of relaxing days.  We spent one at Rundle Park in Edmonton.  Rundle Park itself is an amazing place to visit.  The course is nice, not great, but a nice place to spend a day throwing.  Our next stop was North Dakota, we played a dingy course in Jamestown and followed it up with a decent one in Fargo.  After that it was on to Fairfield, IA for an ace race.  My brother got his first ever ace and followed it with a metal hit to take home the prize.  The next day saw a stop in Evansville, IN to play one of the old home courses with a friend, followed by pulling into Columbus, OH...the new home.  Quite a trip, filled with lots of driving and not enough discing.  But we met some new disc friends along the way.  Always a good time.

Hi All,

I'm working with a indie video game studio to create a face book disc golf game. We created a indie crowd funding site. Please take a moment and read the story behind the development of this game that will hopefully spread the sport of disc golf to people who aren't aware of this fabulous sport we all love.

We also created a one hole Prototype as our first development phase of three weeks. Any feed back would be great and also any small donation to the project will be helpful for evolving the game to it's full potential. Play the one hole, one throw type prototype, link provided in the funding sight.

Thank you & happy tossing,

Gerald

I agree for most part Sam but i'll be out visiting my dad and don't really want to drive up to Sipipu etc. I'll probably hit Baca and maybe Ladera or the lil 9 hole that's two minutes from his house in Rio Rancho.

I will also be in the Albuquerque area around Memorial Day. We are wanting to hit the Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood. ABQ is pretty disappointing as far as New Mexico disc golf goes.

Planning on a lil road trip to Rio Rancho New Mexico around Memorial Day. I would love to hit Sipipu on the way there or back.

Road Trip to Texas Teams in Wimberley Tx, although it's only like four hours so not a major road trip.

I blogged about my trip to Juneau, not really a road trip only cuz you can't drive there. Have to fly or take a boat. I do however drive several hours away from where I love to Homer and Kenai for tournaments. A buddy of mine and I were talking about taking a month off next year and traveling the west coast to see how many parks and tourneys we can go to.

I did the Ultra Glide in Kamloops BC this July and preceded it with a stopover to play the Logan Lake course. Last year we did a major roadie to Wash. Oregon and Californis playing 17 in 11 days. It's documented on my page.
