Lets do this.

A good listing of accommodations in the area:
http://www.co.pierce.wa.us/pc/abtus/ourorg/sheriff/sarcamping.htm

There are only 2 "official" campgrounds in the area, both are pretty much booked up the next few weekends, with a few first-come-first served sites. The sites look pretty much booty. We can camp anywhere in the forest, but we would take some exploration to find a spot (mebbe a recon day trip?). There are a lot of campgrounds along the White Pass area, but getting to Crystal would mean paying for entry to the Mt. Rainier Natl Park (or driving around the mountain).

There is a campground at the NE base of Mt. Rainier, first-come-first-served, but park rangers there are hardcore.

In my personal opinion our best bets are gonna be (in no order):
1) Grab one of the last sites (prolly crappy ones) at a developed campground.
2) Find our own camp site.
3) Either the lodge or a chalet ($120-$200) a night

It sounds like Kim and I are planning on camping for sure the weekend of the 16th/17th. Location TBD.
I wont be able to play, or even walk for that matter, crystal DGC. Unless the PT does some magic.
I am prolly down to go camping though.
If we do decide to do the Crystal route I would just kick back at the campground while you guys went to play DG.

I will know more about my ankle on the 12th when I go to my first PT appointment. Maybe we could postpone the crystal ideal if my PT tells me I will be able to play by the end of the summer.

so that is my $0.02.
There are some wicked crickets up in this bitch.

I think we are just gonna go find a spot to throw up a tent off hwy 2.
when do you plan on leaving?
Pack up Friday night, leave Early Sat AM
