This is for the players out there who play with some sort of superstition. This could be a favourite shirt or mini or...whatever.... Got one? Let us know...

I've heard it called "niced" as well. I played with this guy in a sanctioned event one time, another guy on the card said nice shot, he whacks a tree, and the guy driving turns to him and says, "don't talk to my disc while it's in the air", and he was totally serios. What a friggin riot! I asked him if he thought it had any bearing on the flight path and he said he didn't care but that he would consider a courtesy warning if it happened again. I didn't talk to him much after that but I did nice the other guys drives a few times. lmfao

We call it Lloyd, because of another golfer who would call out nice shot, and about, oh I'd say, 100% of the time, the disc would hit something. I came up with it and actually told a guy he Lloyded me when I hit a tree and then had to explain it to Lloyd. I told him you're not just a proper noun anymore, you're a vreb, and adjective, a pronoun. Then I used each one in a sentence just to show him what I meant. He took it all in jest, just like I meant it, all good fun.

I don't necessarily believe this myself, but my friends all think there is a "Nice Curse." If they throw a shot, and someone says, "Nice," it somehow changes the discs trajectory and sends it right into a tree.

I never up or putt out of turn especially in a tournement. I'll miss my shot 9 out of 10 times if I do.

after a good putt, I pat or touch the top ring of the basket, my way of saying thanks.

nothing in my pockets while playing and no one can say nice shot until the disc has pretty much landed on the ground

Before putting, I always forward twirl then diddle my disc. I believe it gets me in touch with the weight and aerodynamics before throwing.
