I said it before and I'll say it again. I love your touch up jobs or are they refurbs. You know making a disc look new.
When I did my stencils, I tried to make it meaningful or special to me. If not, then you can do something with the name of the disc. Like my Vulcan, I stenciled "Spock".
A Boss you could............
Put Boss Hog from Dukes of Hazard
Put Big Boss Man from the WWE
Put the Big Boss from Bruce Lee's Movie
Put Tony Danza from Who's the Boss
Put your favorite Mustang Boss
Put the Boss Hoss motorcycle
These are just some ideas.
Basically, find something meaningful or go with the "name" scheme.

Comment by Dookville on October 5, 2011 at 3:41am Time for a new, more dificult project. I have a neon greenish yellow Star Boss that I just got. Since Star plastic dyes up so nice I thought I would remove the stamp on this one and try for a more complex stenciled design. The problem is, I have this blank disc that I don't know what to put on it. Any ideas guys?

Comment by Dookville on October 5, 2011 at 3:33am My 10 year old daughter won the Ladys of La Mirada Tournament in the FJ4 division. As part of her winnings she recieved a 150g Pro Teebird-L. The disc was white with a blue foil stamp. Not a bad disc for her, but she hated the color. What to do?
A nice 15 minute bath in some Hot Fuschia did the trick.
Comment by Dookville on September 19, 2011 at 3:31am So let me get this straight.
The "Stryker" Disc. All you did is dip it.
The Dye did not penetrate the stamp.
So one can rejuvenate an old clear plastic and
make it look new again.

Comment by Dookville on September 18, 2011 at 4:33am I use powdered RIT dye produced before 2009 (Old Formula) to make sure that it will work. I heat water in a large stainelss steel pot and add part of the package of powdered dye and bring it to a boil. I mix the dye in the water really well so that it is completely desolved or you'll get hot spots on the disc. I let the mix cool to about 130 and dunk the masked disc in for about 20 minutes.
On the yellow Bolt I used RIT Scarlet red.
When I get more supplies together and some new plastic I'll give it a go on a few more. So far just simple color changes and patterns. Would like to try multiple colors on a white disc soon. Maybe "Space Ghost" on a white Vulcan in the near future.
