Just make sure you have the right plastic.  Some plastics do not dye well.

Good luck.  If you may, post your attempt and work here for support.

It was a difficult for me at first.

Yes, I watched Youtube videos etc.

And as you may have read at the ceration of this group, My first disc did not go well.  I warped my "Nuke" and it never flew correctly afterwards (used too much actone).

Then my first successful dye was the TARDIS.  But it was illegal due to paint.

Then my "SPOCK".  Even then it wasn't perfect (the dye technque I was using made the design really light).

What am I trying to say......

"You may F up a couple of times, but once you get all the tweeks out and have some experience under the belt, you'll do fine"

But

"If you get it right the first time............"

Either way, it is a fun hobby.  Enjoy it.

To see the video of my "Glow Spinner NUKE" go to my site and look under videos. It's cool.  At least I think so.

O.K. This is the wierdest Dye job I could think of.

I wanted an optical illusion effect on a disc.

And I wanted it to kick ass.

So I took my old Glow "NUKE"

Found a simple design that would make my round disc look oval and made a stencil.

Dyed the disc and it ended up looking like this.

This is what it looks like in the dark.

Spin it in circles as if it was flying, wierd............

Showed to some people the effect and they said it hurt their eyes or gave a headache.

Simple but effective.

Just wanted to post.

After seeking the knowledge of 13oo13oo, I was able to "touch up" my previous dyed discs.  If you look at my previous posts of the Vulcan and buzz/horse, they were very light in color.  But now, they are perfect.  Thank you again 13oo13oo
