My wife wanted a horse on a disc.
I got a DX ArchAngel
Acetoned the disc
Used a tribal design for a horse.
Applied my dye with my brush...........
The end results..............................
Failed.
The dye did not take to the disc.
I tried three times, it just did not hold.
So the Ching putter I had and I guess DX plastics do not dye.
O.K. lesson learned.
Cassidy,
Just sent you an e-mail.
Wow. I hate to say this but I just saw a group called "We're Dyeing Here!"
It is a place to show off your works. Find info about types of dyes, dye mixtures, etc............
After looking at that page, I really do not think that this page I created will last or do well.
But I am gonna keep it, and it will be my place to show off my works, and to get support from the group's members. Thank you (Ye Few) for joining. And I really mean that. No sarcasism given.
I had planned to leave the dye on all night. But when I saw it a couple of hours later (I left the disc outside but under some cover), I saw that the liquid had dried up. And when it dried up, it looked like it had star crystals. I washed the disc off and that is what came as a result. So the answer until it crystalized (2 or so hours).
I want to try different colors as well.
