It was the night of "the Aaron's" at league this evening. Aaron M. threw a personal best with a 12 under 42 and had the best natural score. Aaron K. threw a personal best 50 and won the handicap division. Way to go both of you.

ZZ, one of the guys in my group threw 6 discs in the water on our very first hole of the day. It was one of the extra holes and we teed off from the east side of the pond to an elevated basket on a island green on the southwest edge of the pond. We were throwing directly into a strong head wind and after he threw the 6th one in he said that he was taking a 7 and moved to the next tee. I believe that he should have finished the hole according to the rules, but none of us had the heart to tell him.

It is always windy at the jewel. That is why i like to play when it's windy, plus it's fun to watch a disc turn over and end up 500 feet to your right. :)

The tournament went great. It was on the rainy, windy side; sometimes up to about 35 mph. The setup was for 26 holes, 3 of them with elevated baskets, and it went off without a hitch, at least as far as I could tell. I wasn't in charge, so if there were any problems, I didn't see them. Anyway, we had a good time.

We did not play, the water in the pond was too high.

How did this last Monday go??? With all the rain, I wasn't sure if you all were going to do it. I am sure that weather messed with the Emerald a bit too, any news on that tourney?? (In addition to that, I had a mandatory Monday night final, so I was out anyway... the weather scared Karla away. We are both planning on playing this next Monday...

NEWS FLASH..... I met a couple of guys at the course and found out that by summer the parks are going to add 9 more holes and improve the undevolped holes with irragation and grass. They are going to start a club and get a web page going, roswelldiscgolf.com. Should be up in about a week. Things are looking up!
GRIP IT AND RIP IT! .... ZZ
