The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Ok.. So, after much red tape and meetings, I have finally gotten the approval from the city council to build a disc golf course in the North Regional Park in Cottage Grove. The mayor and other council members did much research and are well on board with the idea. They are currently moving some dirt stock piles and getting ready to build a parking lot for us. We have two meetings left that are more or less formailities in the final process..

Neighborhood Community Meeting: Tuesday, Sept 8th @ City Hall
6:30 PM – Council Chambers

Planning Commission Meeting: Wednesday, Sept 16th at City Hall
7:30 PM – Council Chambers

if any supporters would like to attend, please do.

After these meetings, I will be organizing a work party to start with brush clearing for our pin positions, and tee pads. I would love to see a huge turn out of support for this. I know alot of people have been dying to see another course get put in... well.... here it is. Myself, and now Dan Lucachick have been the bodies behind the new course up to this point. We are excited and greatful to do this for Cottage Grove, and the surrounding communities. Now another course within 20 minutes of Eugene!!

I will keep you all posted when the work parties will take place. There will be pleny of opportunities to be involved.

Hey Tom, I have some experience in course design, but it's up to you, I'll gladly give my input if you want it. This is a great opportunity to grow our family of golfers. You are a example of what we need in this area to get more courses and more golfers involved. Great job Tom!
