Official Dexter Update 6-10-09

At this point the baskets at Dexter are NOT being pulled until we get the approval from the State Parks people that are in charge of Dexter. They are not sure if they want to pull the baskets or not and theirs is the final say in the matter. Until they get back to us they will stay in the ground. Work parties will still happen on 6-11 (4pm), 6-15 (4pm) and 6-18 (4pm). Please come out and help us spruce up the course and get it in tip top shape for the Eugen Celebration. This is not the Parks dept. recognizing anything, we simply haven't gotten permission from them yet to pull them. We still need to show our support and stewardship of the course by doing some good work in the park. Hopefully the baskets still being in will not diminish support for the work parties.

I have been getting calls from out of town visitors concerning Dexter and it's baskets. I hope we can get the word out in many venues about what is REALLY happening there..... Thank you Gene for the update.. should we post on pdga.com and the northwest disc golf website....someone???

I updated the Dexter work party thread on nwdiscgolfnews.com. Someone could post on pdga, but I'm not sure many locals look there for news on the Eugene area.
