I'm depressed

I can go from feeling ok to being depressed in an instant. Can any of you relate?

I don't know if you guys remember but I made a thread about school and how it frustrated me. I have a somewhat heavy workload and its a bit frustrating because when I'm in school, I tend to put 85% of my time towards it instead of being able to find a healthy balance of school, social life (not that I have one), and fun. One thing that really bugs me is that I don't feel any purpose in my life. That doesn't me I don't like myself, because I do... its just that I wish I had a career goal. You know, I've been in school since fall '04, but I don't know what I want to do with my life. I want something to aspire to be. Also, I want to be free of school because I hate having it on my mind constantly.

Do you all know how I can get rid of email notifications? I had selected "don't email me" but it doesn't seem to work for comments that get posted in my club.

Im depressed most of the time. It usually lasts for weeks and then i am ok. Then the cycle begins again.

I can do that, too, James. Tried lots of things over the years. In early fall I read a New York Times article about St. John's Wort having recently been shown by appropriate medical testing to be as good as most of the antidepressants that doctors prescribe. (The only such organic/homeopathic remedy with good research behind it.) So I started taking it - two capsules in the AM and one in mid-PM. It definitely helps keep from from dropping down into the worst of the dumps that I can get into.
