I went out a sent the groove for a throw today (175 norcal-socal). Its pretty long. like a slightly understable boss. It should break in to be pretty flippy. Went boom, down wind. Definately going to go forever downwind.

Félix BAN, in response to you the Groove gets the name because it has a channel molded into the underside of the wing. It allows the disc to be made in lighter weights while still having a huge wing.

I agree with Cary. I got a chance to throw the Groove yesterday. With the channel groove on the bottom I really was expecting a flippy high speed characteristic, but to my delight it flew very flat. Not quite as fast as the Boss, but very similar rim width and top plate.

Sup all...I'm also curious about the release date of the Groove. I am starting to throw backhand for the first time in a while and want something that flips a little bit for extra distance but not to the point that it buries into the ground...

When exactly is this supposed to be released? This is the first I've heard of this disc. I have one of the 2009 PDGA World Championship Star Monarchs with the funky rim, I haven't thrown it much, but I'm curious about the Groove now.

I've heard that they're more overstable then what people had thought they were going to be. Thanks for the field updates on your test run. It is only a test run so do you think they'll change anything about it before the release it next month Cary?
