Yes, the new tees are great. An FYI for those who haven't been out to KCP since the weekend - volunteers from the Aces worked on Saturday and Sunday to improve several tees on the course. Holes 1, 5, 7, 8, 9, 13 and 18 now have rubber tees, and on Hole 12 the space between the sidewalk and asphaplt was filled in with concrete in order to get rid of the hole. A 3 on a par 5 hole is an eagle. A 2 on a par 5 would be a double-eagle, also known as an albatross.

What's all the fuss about? Whether a hole is par 4 or 3, we still end up adding the numbers together to determine the score. 48 beats 49, right? The only arguments I ever hear in this situation is whether to count a hole as par 3 or 4 so you know what (for example) 6-under translates to. And I've played lots of tournaments and leagues at lots of courses since 1978. In the end, it's the number of strokes that count.
