Permalink Reply by Greg M on January 29, 2011 at 12:15am I just got my opto pain and opto havoc today! Im excited. I havent thrown them yet but Ill post how they are tomorrow. The opto plastic is pretty gummy as always.. The pain feels like a domey wasp to me or a cross between a wasp and an ontario roc.. the havoc is like a cross between the flow top and halo wing so its kinda domey too.. Not as flat as I thought it would be but looks and feels like itll be fast and controllable

Permalink Reply by Greg M on January 29, 2011 at 7:03pm Went out today to cause some pain and wreak some havoc... Both these discs rock! The pain is great and flies similar to a wasp after all. The dome isnt as bad as I thought it would be and was even able to rip a couple forehands approach shots with it. One an anhyzer around a tree that flattened out nice and another straight on that hit the basket low. The havoc is an incredible disc as well.. I turned it over into the dirt twice as I think i was just excited and wanted a huge throw. The next couple shots were awesome however.. I realeased it even-slight hyzer at 80% and watch it go! Amazing speed, glide, and predictable fade. Both discs made the bag :) oh and I even tried the pain as a putter and its great too...

Permalink Reply by Dookville on January 31, 2011 at 6:15pm Played La Mirada this weekend and used my Opto Havoc for my first real round with it. It is a very nice feeling disc in hand, the rim isn't overly wide. The disc does what you ask it to, but I found it to be nose sensitive, I had to really watch the leading edge on release or it gained heigth fast.
Opto Havoc 169g
I throw 300-325 at 100%
I played a 100+ rounds in the last 4 months
Throw 1 100% (Nice hyzer flip and the nose came up and skyed the throw)
Throw 2 80% (Stayed on hyzer through the entire throw)
Throw 3 80% (Anhyzered very nice but nosed up again)
Throw 4 80% (Flattened the hyzer a little more and stayed all the way through the throw)
Throw 5 90% (Kept on hyzer-first birdie ever on 14)
Throw 6 80% (Low anhyzer from elevation flew very nice)
Throw 7 100% (Anhyzer the nose came up again)
Throw 8 80% (Anyhzer from elevation- too much disc for hole 17, but kept the nose down)
I figured out real quick to watch my nose angle and was able to control it on hyzers. Depending on how hard I threw it on hyzer it flipped or it stayed on hyzer. Anhyzers are a different thing, I will have to work on my release angle to keep it from nosing up. I am certainly addicted already to the speed and responsivenees of the disc and it fits in nice with my Opto River and GL Vision.
