STRIKER (GOOOOOOAL!) 11 Replies

I liked this disc right outta the box when I got one a while back.  And now that they have made them in lower weights, I like 'em even better.  Like an eagle-teebird hybrid with more speed.  Continue

The Fuse 18 Replies

For me this disc is a perplexer.  In calm conditions it's the Fuse- does anything you ask w tons o' glide.  In the wind it's the conFuse:  But that's probably my fault (bad form etc...) Continue

Pure Genious!

Got a Zero Line Pure the other day. First off, the zero line plastic is so grippy! way more than any innova plastics. It's rigid with a bit of flex to it and is extremely flat top. Nice low profile a…Continue

My Opto Pain is way more stable than my Rocs. How bout the Gl Pains El k, are yours as stable as the Opto's?

As a general rule; yes.

But not always...but i would say all premium blends (Star, ESP, S-Line, GL etc) are generally apt to be less domey than the same mold in urethane (Champion, CE, Opto Z, etc) discs.

That being said there have been some Havocs and especially some Flows that are off the charts on 'domey-ness' lately.

And I have seen some pretty flat urethanes occasionally, but they are definitely harder to find.

EK, is this the norm for GL being flatter than Optos?

Oh yeah one last thing: the GL Pains are a little flatter than the optos

Pain is very similar to the roc. I like the pain a bit better because it is more comfortable in hand than a roc. And it is available in premium plastics that are the best out there. Core is more like a buzzz.

It is the Lats Roc equivalent, my buddy throws one all the time. His go to disc was a Roc forever until he lost another KC 11x to it breaking. He has been using the GL in max weight and loves it.

Looking at the numbers my inclination tells me to go with a Pain, the Core's numbers remind me of a Cobra or any other straighter flying mid.  I like the Roc for it's dependable fade.  I throw flat-top Rocs exclusively, so if anyone can tell me about the dome of the Pain I'd appreciate it.  I hope its just flat.

Joshua, pick up a Opto Core--it can certainly hang with a Roc...

Awesome, that's gonna save me 5 bucks, thanks man.  Can't wait to get my hands on this thing.  I love Lat 64 drivers, but do they have a midrange that could go toe to toe with a flat-top Roc?  I love the flat Roc because it turns over then holds the line like none other, but I can still depend on that fade when the situation calls for it.  So, with no bias, can any L64 mid hang with ft Rocs?
