Comment by Sean Perkins on October 6, 2009 at 12:15am - We have two leagues where I play, one on Wednesday nights and one on Saturday afternoons. The Wednesday one just ended because it is getting too dark to play on the course. There are tons of moose this time of year and bear sightings as well. This next year we're going to try and get a women's league started to get more peeps involved.

- Plus, an experienced disc golfer like yourself, should make sure she is prepared for rain. Make sure she has the correct gear before she leaves the house! It's not so bad if you are prepared for it!

- My girls on Monday were amazing! It poured down rain and it was only the 3rd week of womens leagues. The first 2 weeks were pretty chilly and we had 7 show up each week. This Monday, we had 11 show up and play 9 holes in the pouring down rain. What troupers I tell ya! I have a wonderful group of women in my league and am very proud of each and every one of them!

I know erin has been involved for a while she is the leader for womens disc golf leagues in the state of MI. we both run womens only events but she is a driving force for women in disc golf in MI.
