I lost my Firebird and Groove in one round a few months back....slightly depressing. Still never found them, my name and number was on them and I know they've been found. I hate people that find discs and don't return them or at least make a decent effort to do so.

Dave, also think about having some discs lying around you don't "care" about so much. That way, newbies can borrow them and lost them without ruining your day.

Ya, i took my family disc golfing when we were on a family vacation... i don't think they realized the importance and value (even if only sentimental) of discs to a disc golfer. Its bad enough when I loose discs, but at least I only have myself to blame, when your dad and brother are haphazardly throwing discs into rivers and lakes, it hurts all the more. lol but in retrospect, its only plastic, and hopefully the family will continue coming out and learning, but next time i'll make a note to take them to a more beginner friendly course!.

Last night during leagues my beloved WOLF right into a tree then into the River that had swollen due to all of the rain, Why does it always rain on league night? Still putted in for par though!

I threw a forehand roller on a hole that runs along a busy street. This is my usual shot on the hole, but this time my disc turned up too soon & was rolling right into the street. It proceeded to roll down the street into oncoming traffic. My friend Tony and I watched an old beat up Honda run right over it. The 2 losers in the car yelled some vulgarities at us (like I meant to throw my disc in the street) and drove off with my disc wedged underneath their car! I cussed at them to stop and say that to my face (I just wanted my disc back), but they kept on goin. We even watched the car stop at the next light, expecting the disc to dislodge itself from under the car. But no, goodbye Firebird :(

Earlier this year. WINDY WINDY WINDY Wisconsin day. Course is right on a river. Water came into play on 1/3 of the holes. I lost 6 discs in two rounds, but I never laid-up once. My score was awful, but I went for it every time. Stupid? Maybe. But people still tell me about it. I felt fearless. Heck, I even lost two discs in the river on one windy hole. With water on the left, and OB road on the right, with a right-to-left crosswind, you were either a pro that parked it or you laid up or you hit water. I was not going to lay up. But, then, I am 37 years old with a real job. I could just buy new ones when it was all over, though I have not yet replaced them all. There is still that TL...
