Here's the plan for Sunset Park, which will open in San marcos next Summer/Fall (depending on how fast the grass grows). Note the disc golf course labelled in the upper right part of the park.

I have published the very rudimentary beginnings of a Montiel Park DGC web site. You can find it at: Montiel Park Disc Golf Course

I will be adding hole descriptions and factoids to the individual hole tee sign pages, a place to report doubles (and other) results, list of aces, sponsor page and some sort of lost and found page. Any and all suggestions welcome!

The San Diego Aces are hosting a get-together Sunday @ 11am (Yes, Father's Day) at Montiel Park. The Aces will provide hotdogs, but feel free to bring other items to grill. The rest of the menu is pot luck. Gas grills are welcome - please no charcoal (it's against park rules).

There will be an informal bag-tag challenge and possibly doubles. We are also asking anyone with a mini basket to bring it, so we can set up a mini course to play. I will have free minis for anyone who wants to play but doesn't have a mini.

The Aces will also be holding a quick meeting to vote on nominees for club course representatives.

Aces Special Club meeting Sunday May 25, Morley Field 9:30am
to vote bylaw changes in. Should be a short meeting.

Aces regular club meetings will resume in June with our first meeting to be held at Montiel Park where we can hopefully vote in nominated Course Reps (pending approval of above bylaw vote in)

Currently Risley and Vincent have stated they will represent North County Courses. After Sunday we "should" be able to accept all nominations and get this thing moving again.

Want to invite the North County folks for the June SV monthly. We'll be playing the SVO 18-hole setup.

I may have earned at least a "discussion spot" in Montiel lore for long throw off long #9 down to the picnic tables behind A.J. "Walken" below.

Apparently there was a crater/divet about 2 inches past mine that may have previously been created by a Cent bomb.

Darn!
