These are small portable and battery operated speakers that protects your MP3 player when zipped closed, there's a volume button and speaker on the outside. I now see these in Walgreen Drug Stores for $10.

I bought the Altec lansing im207 Orbit-MP3 for ipod and mp3 players. its selling right now on amazon for 19 bucks. it takes 3 aaa's and its been a good little speaker for my bag

I got a 15 dollar speaker off off amazon that works pretty good.
