Great racing this past week. I attended the ARCA race and the Shootout followed by a kick ass concert by The Zac Brown Band. Good Times!!!

Looking forward to the 500....not sure of I'm going make it or not....my cherished pre-race stagehand back line and band gear gig.....got the Axe this year...10 of us out of the work...Thanks "Great Recession"


Really looking forward to see how the new or should say no more bumping drafting rules at DIS with the full 43 car field pans out so far so good. The Bigger openings in the "Plate" since the late 80's.... the 500 and particularly Dega will be interesting this year. The newest rule change handed down yesterday at the drivers meeting.....3 attempts at "The Green, White, Checkered" all 3 series...all races.


Tonight's Truck race...The best race during Speedweeks....well I was going....but I think it's safe bet (70%) it gets postponed. The Track is being saturated as I type this...rain supposed to hang around all afternoon and into this evening, clearing later tonight. The track will be rubber free when they do go...though ; ) They'll likely cancel Nationwide Qualifying today...could mean no go for Danica.

yep looks like jimmie has got 4 in a row...maybe the points chase needs revamped
i think the new rear wings are causing the huge lift when the cars get turned around ,before they went to the COT the flaps that roush developed worked just fine

Those roof flaps...were not a factor!!!....when the car turned around...the rear end was already going airborne.....never gave the flaps a chance to work...."Look...Kevin, I can Fly"

Martin's flight looked like it was pretty intense.....Instant change of direction and momentum...that was a hard lick there....to flip him around and over like that.

I think I've finally come to grips with the likely hood the Johnson/Knaus team will go on to eclipse 7 championships. This year is theirs to lose.....187 with 3 to go. It's a race for second...lol

Jimmy would be nowhere without Chad. Just like JR is just a name. Dale jr would not be where he is if not for his last name. JJ can drive but he has a great team. Hell, even JR could win a championship with that team.

I'd like to send out my condolences to the entire Hamlin family on their loss. I know Denny was driving with alot of emotion and man it showed, he flat ran over David Goofyman on his way back through the pack after that last caution. It was kinda nice to see his emotions boil over in victory lane as well. This sport is almost becoming void of emotion. Congrats to Denny and the whole number eleven team.
