Do you think the Roush cars will be strong as usual at Texas or does Kyle Busch have something for them this weekend. On a related note. Isn't it funny how much Jeff Gordons career started like Earnhardts. Or should I say Kyles career started like Jeffs. Funny thing with those three, Either you love 'em or you hate 'em. Fact is all three can Drive the hell out of a race car.

Oh yeah, my favorite week of the year, my home track. I can't wait for Thursday to get here, and the festivities to begin. I wish some of disc golf friends from here could join me.

I muse, if Matt goes on to win another seven or eight cup races this year, do you think DW will fall in love with him the way he has with Jeffey and Wild Thing?
man I hope not or I'll start rooting for Tony dammit

the tony roper wreck where he passed ended up right in front of where we were sitting. its hard to watch a motionless man being pulled from a race truck. almost thought we saw another one in that kenny brack wreck during the irl race on the back stretch.

I remember Mike Skinner hitting pretty hard in that same spot and broke his collarbone and missed that race. And before the safer barrier, Jeff Gordon hit a ton out of turn four and said it was the hardest hit he ever took.
I'm glad they have the barriers, because i think Texas is a track with the speeds that probably would have killed another driver.

That McDowell wreck...had it happened 10 years ago...he'd likely be dead.

I know what a hit can sound like. you should have heard the michael mcdowell wreck at qualifying last year at texas. man i thought we saw our 2nd fatality here.

yea, congrats to matt. looks like the roush boys may have something for toyota this year. the biff looked real strong until he pulled a junior in the pits.

Hey now, back to back wins for my boy Matt. After last year not winning at all, I sure am glad that's over for now. Congrats to the whole 17 team.
