I found that Practicing my Form on the throw helped me more than the x-step did. I throw about the same distance either way and when talking with local pros it seems that they value good form over all else.

The important thing to do is practice driving till you feel comfortble throwing hard..There are a few tecniques to obtaining top power but just simply giving your muscles repitition will greatly increase your game...

Should a beginner really practice/work on a RUN UP release while driving, or start off by focusing on properly snapping without a 'run-up" drive on the tee?

(I notice when I try to put that power behind it from a run up type of drive, I can't always control where it goes)
