North Side Chain Gang Mission

The North Side Chain Gang is a club of Houston area disc golfers who feel that the way to improving disc golf is to donate time and resources in the effort to earn more public acknowledgment of the sport and its wealth of talent on the North Side of Houston. Home to some of the state's most talented players, and some of the best courses in the state, the game is little more than a vastly popular underground sport to the community.
Through restoration and improvement projects using funds that are properly managed by the club and its officers, and raised through charitable events, minis, and leagues, the sport will grow within the area, and gain popularity and credibility through the good public relations built by donations on behalf of the club.
Equally, the club also believes that the future of the sport is its youth, and that there is a growing need to bring credible communtiy programs to recruit future stars of tommorow.
Meetings will be held on the first Thursday of every month, and wll have a location announced on this site. The first Saturday of every month will be a work day on one of our area courses that fall under our charter.
Membership Dues are $20 a year. All monies collected by the club are spent on projects that benefit disc golf in North Houston and beyond.

Not the day of. I asked 3 days ago if there was and got no reply so I didn't go not knowing if there was one or not. Not trying to be an ass, just would like to know ahead of time, not the day of.

It's our last scheduled work day before the grand opening. With the new enhancements this course will stand out in Houston as a top course, designed with the more advanced players in mind, please come out in force this Saturday, you will be proud this babys in our backyards...I guarantee it

With that drive you had in the play off, I might of have had a better chance playing rock, paper, sissors with you. Don't get use to it.Can't believe CJ beat us still. See ya'll at Shawshank.

Comment by "Infamous" Seth Johnson on October 19, 2009 at 10:37am: Just got back from Corpus this weekend and I am glad to say that Houston took top 4 spots in Advance. Jim Kelly finished in 2nd place and I came in 4th. It was a great time and the new course they have will leave you hurting in one or more ways. The 3rd coast guys really know how to put on a tournament and are a great example of how I envisioned North Side Chain Gang to become like. I wanted to remind everyone that we will be having our meeting this coming month. I really suggest that anyone that wants to play in a great tournament that they take it down to 3rd coast. WHITE TOWEL!
