The Bear will always be special to me since thats where I first met the game. ate a lot of shrooms on a few occasions out there and met dinosaurs and a mermaid named lucille. that place is magical. plus its closer to my house...
The hill is way underated IMO, but it needs 9 new holes in the woods behind the #6 fairway. It's a primo peice of property, that could have one of the best 18 hole courses around.

Think about it....It has what SV and BB do not....elevation

All it needs is 9 Awesomely designed new holes in the woods...

So to me it has far more "potential" then either BB or SV. 9 holes is a cheap way to get a GREAT 18 hole course.
Maybe it's time to get a few of us together out there, take a walk in the woods, draw up a plan, have Leafylinks get a stamp on it and put the NSCG to the task....The Hill needs to grow up and turn 18 this year!!!
I think when The hill turns 18...The question above would be "no contest"
Hey I am all about putting in baskets and expanding courses.....I need to play the hill more to see what it is really like and I need to see the alt. nine....for now though the BEAR gets my vote......plus it is a Houck course...
Don't mean to jump on your post T Dogg but I don't think the current version of BB is a Houck course...I think he designed the original BB course that was on the N. side of Research Forest that is long gone.
As far as the the question above...both courses are great practice courses...Terramont gives you some elevation and a good workout along with a combination of long & short shots. BB has some nice technical shots that need to be thrown well or you'll be in the shule fighting to save par.
Neither course is "better". They are both "beginner" type courses that are fun & play fast. (except when you get stuck behing that NSCG 10 pack of doubles players!)
I sit firmly on the fence...ouch.
I like both about the same. Overall I probably enjoy the Bear a little more because it is 18 holes and therefore has a little more variety. Some good challenging tight holes. #3 from the long box or #10 would probably be my favorite holes out there. I like that the Hill has some elevation and some longer shots, some which require accuracy with it. The only negative aspect of this course is that occasionally there are park goers on various parts of the course and you have to wait for them to get off the fairway.
I enjoy both courses, but Terramont would be bad ass if it had another 9. The only problem I have with Terramont is not enough parking.
