North Side Chain Gang Mission

The North Side Chain Gang is a club of Houston area disc golfers who feel that the way to improving disc golf is to donate time and resources in the effort to earn more public acknowledgment of the sport and its wealth of talent on the North Side of Houston. Home to some of the state's most talented players, and some of the best courses in the state, the game is little more than a vastly popular underground sport to the community.
Through restoration and improvement projects using funds that are properly managed by the club and its officers, and raised through charitable events, minis, and leagues, the sport will grow within the area, and gain popularity and credibility through the good public relations built by donations on behalf of the club.
Equally, the club also believes that the future of the sport is its youth, and that there is a growing need to bring credible communtiy programs to recruit future stars of tommorow.
Meetings will be held on the first Thursday of every month, and wll have a location announced on this site. The first Saturday of every month will be a work day on one of our area courses that fall under our charter.
Membership Dues are $20 a year. All monies collected by the club are spent on projects that benefit disc golf in North Houston and beyond.

Now if this rain will ever stop I can start playing some of the north side courses. Played league @ Moffitt last nite and got soaked again. But I shot a 59 from the long boxes. Not bad for being in the rain too!

If you look at PDGA's website, you will see that Masters will be held in Huntsville at Shawshank. Traditionally, NSCG has helped Steve in times of tournament need. It seems only appropriate that the club would help again with such a great tournament being offered. Thoughts?

Comment by Mr. Blue on March 26, 2010 at 3:03pm: I'm not sure who all is going to be out at States tomorrow. I know I'm going down to Bass to help with set up and logistics right now after unsuccessfully trying to find others from the club to help.
Junior 9 has been given to us again as a responsibility this year. I would really like some club members to step up and help out with that in the morning and during lunch. If I can get the help, call me 954-864-4579. Thanks

Seth Johnson & Scott Coleman got 1st in MA1, Old Skool Kenny Fetters & Doug Blake got 1st in MA2, Tiff & Patrick got 2 in Mixed, Matt Stevens & myself got 3rd, Scott Hawkins & Chad Tedesko got 6th in MA3, RED & Byron got 7th in MA3 after a 10 stroke penlity, Justin & Derek Stair was 2nd from DFL, Bart Taylor got DQed. Had a blast and it was fun to party in the tee-pee its last year being there. NSCG represented BIG this year. See everyone at States and don't forget, WHITE TOWEL!
