North Side Chain Gang Mission

The North Side Chain Gang is a club of Houston area disc golfers who feel that the way to improving disc golf is to donate time and resources in the effort to earn more public acknowledgment of the sport and its wealth of talent on the North Side of Houston. Home to some of the state's most talented players, and some of the best courses in the state, the game is little more than a vastly popular underground sport to the community.
Through restoration and improvement projects using funds that are properly managed by the club and its officers, and raised through charitable events, minis, and leagues, the sport will grow within the area, and gain popularity and credibility through the good public relations built by donations on behalf of the club.
Equally, the club also believes that the future of the sport is its youth, and that there is a growing need to bring credible communtiy programs to recruit future stars of tommorow.
Meetings will be held on the first Thursday of every month, and wll have a location announced on this site. The first Saturday of every month will be a work day on one of our area courses that fall under our charter.
Membership Dues are $20 a year. All monies collected by the club are spent on projects that benefit disc golf in North Houston and beyond.

We have a lot to talk about and have some serious topics coming up that need to be discussed. Also Deke is having baby in July so I thought it would be nice if everyone could bring diapers to the meeting tonight that would be great hope to see you all.

The comment I made about Justin was not trying to have him suspended from the board, I was just saying it was imo a much bigger offense then what got mattman suspended for a month.

What I did wasn't right either, I could care less where people choose to play inside a tournament.

Sorry guys, I'm normally not the jerk I portrayed last week...
I'm going to take myself off the boards for a few months as a self imposed suspension.

Don't beat yourself up too much. You and your contributions to this club have been way more than many members. You made a mistake and one that you have been beaten up over.
I would also state that your mistake was amplified by a non club member who has a selfishly misguided agenda that is causing more problems than solved. All the more reason to not take the bait.
He's taken it out on you, Andi, and the club. As for Matt Hall, he is an ally for the club and for Houston disc golf. His board comments go too far at times, but youth is always full of piss and vinegar. LOL! I feel that my post on hfds addresses that as well.
What's done is done, and now we need all efforts of the club focused on damage control. We need club members FROM Conroe to speak up for and with us.
