The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Hello fellow disc collectors. In my collection I have many of the Original Champion discs. Teebirds, my favorites, Valks, Eagles, Leopards, and Firebirds. As I'm sure you know there were several runs of these discs with some changes to the plastic. I'm trying to seperate the fact from fiction and truth from theory. Almost every time I question someone about how they know what they have I get because I know when I bought it or I've bought or had so many I can just tell whats what. However I feel everyone has their own theorys of how to differentiate between the runs and the differences. So I'm hoping you all can help to dispell the myths.

Here are a few of the things I've heard. The somewhat clear ones are from the 4th-5th runs and are the same as todays champ plastic. Others have said 4th or later run tbirds are taffy plastic like the 10x KC's. TL's came before T's and even ones marked T are really from the TL mold. The true 1st run valks areBlueberry in color. The earliest runs have raised lettering on the stamp and later runs are smooth. The bump in the center of the flight plate has some signifigance as does how the lettering and weight are written on the back inside or outside of the ring.

Now that I've revealled the tip of the iceburg I ask what can you add, dispell or agree with. Any input is welcome.
