How does Pier Park play in the winter rain? I have only played it in the dry summer and I am wondering how wet the ground gets back there. I figure that the trees help block a lot of the rain itself, but I am worried about some of those valleys getting deep.

One pair of shoes or two?

Waterproof shoes would help.
Its very muddy slippery.
Just as fun as the summertime though.

I was out there on Thursday. Really muddy. I have waterproof shoes and everything was fine.
Waterproof shoes . . . check . . . muddy and wet . . . check . . . but in comparison to most parks, Pier is very sheltered from the weather and there are a high percentage of holes that are not bad at all. Pier offers some of the best winter golf in PDX!!
3 through 17 are very well protected from the rain. Some fairways like 4 and 7 can get a little muddy but nothing too bad as of yet. Over all it's one of the better parks to play in the winter season.
