I put flags down for the secondary/tourney pin positions. Check 'em out and let me know what you think. We'll be using them at the 3rd annual...

Army Corps is building a bridge across the creek at Hole 11. It's not finished yet, but it is pretty sweet! Thank you Army Corps, you guys really know two to improve a park course. Pictures to follow...

Here are the results of a recent meeting that I held with the Rangers:
1) Making the Temp Course permanent - never gonna happen
2) We are working on getting picnic tables placed at #6 & #16
3) We will install our final bench at the tee box of #17
4) Parking lot is closed except for events only (Monthlies, tournies etc)
5) The course will continue to be mowed by Army Corps yearly, prior to Banging Chains For Charity. The rest is up to us.
6) The Army Corps is prepared to allow us to install cement tee pads if we do all the work. We have to come up with the logistical plan and have them approve it.
7) Multiple pin positions are in the works. We have to ID the locations we want and get approval. Expect alternate positions within months (by the 2nd anniversary?)
8) The Army Corps will have the convict crew out this winter finishing up the side sloping trails to provide better footing. Should be done by next spring
9) See number 6
10) Campground season is closed for the winter. Corps determines that schedule
11) We can do whatever events we want to do - as long as we get permission
12) If we want to do Monthlies again, we can use the Parking lot and have access to 1the campground for free when it is open
13) Cannot run power to the Group Use Are during events. not possible
14) Course expansion is a possibility, but likely not where we would want it

Rick has permission to pour concrete pads! Alternate positions a go as well. Let's help Rick put together a plan to make it happen!

Played the course on Memorial Day. It looks great, but played pretty rough. The Lake took discs on 6 and 14, but Ernie aced 5! Good times.

A BIG thank you to everybody who came out and participated in the 2nd Annual Banging Chains For Charity tournament last weekend. We raised over three thousand dollars again for the Willows Medical Facility. We couldn't have done it without you and our wonderful sponsors! I'll be posting pictures and scores soon, and we should have an online event photo album up by this weekend too!
