Just a heads up to you that the City of Orlando has scheduled the official Grand Opening of Airport Lakes disc golf course for this Monday, May 2nd at 5:30 pm.

The press will be there, along with the Mayor and Commissioner Diamond, who found the budget to get it done. The ceremony should last 20 or so minutes. Afterward, (I believe) the Orlando Disc Golf Club is holding a bag-tag challenge...maybe dubs

PLEASE consider coming out and making a good showing, which could lead to more Central Florida courses!

thanks in advance!

interesting on the festival, should be fun to see how they integrate with the rest of the park or if they have an area roped off for the fest.

I just found out through a friend of mine that for those of us who like EDM(Breaks,Dubstep, etc)...Turkey Lake to host a music festival http://plurh.com/camp-unity-music-festival. No mention of Disc Golf in thier flyer and no mention of the event on here either so I thought I would bridge the gap.Check it out and support Orlando, EDM and the Beat Mavericks.

Daytona’s fundraiser the past weekend was a success. Our turn out was just under 20 , but we raised a good amount of money ! I’d like to thank the Orlando club for their support and help .

We also had a few guys show up and donate extra plastic, because of this every player in the Am. and Adv.  division walked away winning something . I think we gave out thirty something discs !

Hope everyone had fun and liked the course layout we set up .

Thanks to all who came out to the first Airport Lakes Park handicaps last weekend. From a consensus of the attendees, it looks like we will be doing a handicap round on the first Sunday of every month at Airport Lakes Park starting at 10:15am. If the demand grows we will expand to more times per month. Cap's will continue on Saturdays at BFP at Turkey Lake as always.

The course set up looks tight for the fundraiser!  Lot of fun challenging holes, and trouble shot looks.

See ya Saturday!

Signs were installed on Monday 3-14 including the map so the course is marked now.
