A meeting with all Debary members has been requested.
Due to the Worlds happening it was suggested that
we hold our meeting for the 30th of July 2012.
We'll have the meeting at the course around 1730
and play Doubles afterwards. Hopefully we'll have some
of our baskets moved and we'll play together on a new
layout.

Much thanks goes out to all who played and sponsored the Karen Peterson Memorial Fundraiser last Saturday. Collectively we were able to raise over $1000 for her daughters trust fund. It's great that as disc golfers we are able to particpate and make a difference in poeples lives and in charitable organizations.

Some of you may have known Karen Peterson, a employee at BFP a Turkey Lake. She was killed late last year by her boyfriend. ODGC is holding a memorial fundraising event on June 9th at Bill Frederick Park for those who want to help raise funds for her daughter. Cash payout for competitive division. Here's the flyer.

If you are REGISTERED (SIGNED UP ONLINE for the Daytona Open 2012) you may want to read this:

As part of the DPS sponsorship 1 (one) Lucky disc golfer will get sponsored to play in the Daytona Open 2012!

Yes it will happen.

Here's what you must do:

Next Tuesday Bring an extra $5 with you to Reed D's 6 pm tee off.

There will be a ctp for the DPS sponsorship.

You must have $5 to be in it.

That $5 will go towards upgrades @ Reed Canal Disc Golf Course.

If you win you will be given stickers that have to be on your vehicle.

After all you are NOW a sponsored disc golfer (Daytona Open).

And an announcement will be made at the Daytona Open.

If you 'cash' a simple Thank You publicly will suffice, during the Awards.

If you do not want the stickers, or to publicly display your appreciation, then do not enter.

Sure there will be others that will....

June 5th, 2012 6 pm tee off.

BRING an extra $5 plus your Reed D entry fee.

Minimum of 10 to be in... if less than that will push it to the next week.

Your sponsorship includes the reimbursement of your entry fee.

Which will happen after the Open is over.

Not the $3 credit card charge....

And here's a course map with (pre-installation) distances and a scorecard. The course is being installed by Sumter Co parks and rec and I have not played it since it has been installed. Hope ya like it...

Hey Gang, FYI:
There is a new 9-holer in Lake Okahumpka park in Sumter county. Designed by Bruce Root of Sumter Co parks and rec and tweaked by WCDGD. The DISCatcher targets and one set of tees are now playable. Tee signs are in the works.
Here is a directional map, showing the location of the park.
