2013 “Stormie Open”

If things first. We thanked everyone responsible for completing the Debary

Course.  It took five years, But the Park has a functional 18 Hole layout.

A total of Thirty-Five players came out for the Stormie Open this year.

It was the first Tournament to play the completed course. Some came to

play on the new pads, some came to put an “ACE” under their belts,

Some came to just have fun, Some came to support the Club’s cause

in raising money, some came to partake in the free food, but I feel that

most came to help My wife Pattie (The First Lady of Debary Disc Golf) Stormie

celebrate her Birthday in Style. It was a great event that was enjoyed by all.

Thank you all for showing your love & support, and we hope to continue

this in the future, making it a fun event to be enjoyed by all in Debary.

Results of the Open will be posted on the Debary Web site, NLT tomorrow

morning.

Once again, "Thank you All".

Please go to the Tournament section of DiscGolfersRUs

and look under "The Stormie Open" for updated information.

Hope to see players there to help celebrate

my wife's (The First lady of Debary) Birthday.

I posted notes on the DeBary page. The post on this page was to (hopefully) enlist some Orlando Club members.
Sure would love to have some help. It's a big deal and a big job.

So having seen the tee pads finished product, one would have to consider that Gregg would oversea each one for consistency.

Having said this, Gregg would come back and rake each to the 'right' look.

Are they going to dry that fast?

There will be two days of pour and tee pad work.

Each day there will be a "Cement Truck".

Time to be there is 0730.

Hos will be taking lead.

I was told to bring, if I can, a leaf rake and a wood rack.

Having been out ot the loop, would like the following answered:

These pours are being mixed one at a time?

Or is there a cement truck, with which most would likely be in the way.

If the former what tools should someone bring if they have them?

Hey all...

The DeBary Disc Golf Club is pouring 17 new tee pads on the River City Nature Park course on Wednesday & Thursday, April 10 & 11. That's THIS WEEK!!

This is a BIG job and we are really short on people. If you have ANY free time early in the AM, PLEASE consider coming out and assisting for these pours.
We only have ONE shot at getting them right!!!

We start at 7:30 AM (SHARP) on both days.
RCNP is reeeeally shaping up and we'd reeeeally like to welcome you to our ranks of dedicated volunteers!!!!

$5.00 from each player's entrance will be donated to the Debary Club to purchase cement for Tee Pads.  By particpating, you will be showing your support in the completion of the Debary Course.
