I use a Pro D cyclone for my tomahawks. I fell in love with the throw since the first one I threw. I landed 4 feet from the basket and almost bounced in it was my first deuce ever.

if you want to know about thumbers and tomahowks. you should watch me play.; i use them more then any other person i know or play with. i can put it about 350 feet with control. no i don't use the epic. i use the 150 esp plastic flick. light so it don't hurt your arm, flick is one of the fastest and thinnest disc you can have.

On the slight occasions i throw overhead, i like to throw my Star Boss. Both tomahawks and thumbers. I'm working on both of them more so watch out, Eric ha!

Firebird is a good disc but i seem to get greater distance in tighter gaps with the flick. Have yet to find another disc that can come out so fast but stay on target as well.

FIREBIRD ALL THE WAY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!! I RECOMMEND A FIREBIRD, HAS TO BE CHAMPION. STAR ONES SUCK. Lose their stablity very fast (the Star ones, and off right off the bat too, not soo with other models, but is true with Firebird). Luckily my Star Firebird is a awesome Darkside of the Moon Tye Dye so I just put it on my wall!!! My only on the wall disc (not into that thing).

all hail the birdie master shot! The Thumber/Tomahawk shot! I usually only throw one to two of them nowadays, but when I do it either is a birdie or close to it.

Firebird is my bread and butter for this (though Monsters work well for this as well, and Flicks).

Depends on how you feel, I love the Z flick for thumbers. Many people will say the firebird. Just find a disc you like and learn it's flight pattern, that will be the best disc for you.
