Comment by The Monster on November 22, 2010 at 9:22am: I have been playing for several years. Just started being ultra competitive this year. 15 sanctioned tourneys this past year. I have 2 daughters age 5 and 8. Even if they aren't playing they will come with me. My 8 year ols decided that she wanted to be more into it this year. I got her a banana yellow Fade Gear Crunch Box. With help from our group from DiscGolfDallas.com was able to outfit her with 10 disc from the 150 class. Minus the putter that is a max weight Soft Challenger. Her favorite disc is a 150 class JLS and her Surge. The little one is only good for a few holes before her attention wanders off.

Comment by Mike McFarlin on November 17, 2010 at 7:55am: I'm a parent that learned disc golf from my youngest son. I have three sons 28, 26, and 24 years of age, all of whom play disc golf. Ryan the youngest started playing 4 years ago while at UVM and has gotten the rest of us hooked this summer.
Not having a place to play on this side of the lake was our main source of resistance to trying the game. Once the new Cadyville DGC was opened this summer it ruined our excuse of not wanting to learn a sport that involved an hour and a half of driving with a $6.75 ferry ride to get to the nearest course.
