It doesnt matter as long as it is suspended by the basket itself it cant land on top of the pin to count

I have sprinted to remove putts that were wedged in the side of the basket, but I don't do much sprinting nowadays.

Hell yes its an Ace. If you clear out the disc before it falls out. If it falls to the ground before you reach it then you must mark it as it lies.

A Player in our group teed off and stuck his disc in the side of the basket, it was bent and trapped by the metal. Ace?
