Mike, sorry about the temp and I know you have plenty to do. Just when you get the time let's see some more of your goodies. It's great to see someone that has discs like you show them to people who only understand present day plastic. Besides, its got to be fun to go through some of that stash!

John, minus 6 this morning but still plenty to do.

Bill, It is indeed "The Space Saucer Prototype". The first ever molded by hand by Ernest Robes circa 1950.

John!

I miss ya, bud! You are always so much fun to hang out with, and those dimples just drive me crazy!

Mike,

Looks like a Space Saucer prototype to me. I don't see any lettering, and it is a different color than the rest of them.

Let's see Sully, you have a jillion sweet discs, you found a box, and you came across the silver one. I'm guessing it's the only silver no stamp in existence. For all us plastic junkies, please continue to post. It's approaching winter in Toronto, so what else do you have to do?

Here's a couple of items for the addicts. Do you know the significance of the silver item?

Hi, my name is Bill, and i'm....ummmm....I'm a....a.....plasticaddict

Mike Sullivan,

Very nice setup. Nice to see you haven't lost your organizational skills. Wouldn't it be nice if the old Wham-O non-golf discs had kept ther value? I

n my active addiction days, I would get my boxes out and just look at every disc, remembering, for the most part, the circumstance under which I acquired it, which was usually face-to-face at a tournament. I quickly realized in the early 80s that I needed to specialize, so I decided on minis, since they took up the least amount of space.

Those days were fun while they lasted, and I still enjoy looking at the old stuff, either virtually or in my hands, on a wall or behing a case.

Oh, and I still enjoy playing too! I hope to get out at lunch one day this week and get in a quick round, so I can hit the ground running next year when I can play in the 2nd degree old man division.

Just one corner of my little plastic stash. I have no idea how many discs I have ... should spend a little time obsessing about numbers, and get them cataloged I guess. Good winter project.

Michael Sullivan,
Congrats on overcoming your addiction. Your bedroom is looking well organized. Or is that your kitchen?

I have to admit that I am an addict too =). If I don't get to play disc golf at least once a week I will flip, unless it's and injury or something reasonable, then I can stand that.

True.

18,500 is the borderline between being addicted or just any ordinary golfer.
