Comment by Matt Schenk on May 13, 2011 at 1:37pm Finally made it out there (almost an hour drive)... even picked up an RSR stamped Star Destroyer at the pro shop. :-)
Bob, awesome job on the design. I love the use of the topology! I really enjoyed everything from a design standpoint, but man do they need some rain and/or irrigation out there or what!?
The grounds were fried 'n dried with little to no green left on either course. I felt like I was playing in a dry desert-like wasteland at times. Hopefully we get some rain soon and things can green up a bit. I can tell the place will look gorgeous come rain season and/or once revenue's are up high enough to keep up with grounds maintenance. I realize this just takes time and a little help from mother nature.
Overall, HUGE HUGE potential. I can't wait until the tee pads, benches, etc get installed. Despite my disappointment in the groundskeeping, I enjoyed both courses and can't wait to go back. Hopefully soon I get my Wednesday afternoons back and can join in on the doubles action.

Comment by HENRY "MENACE" REID on May 11, 2011 at 2:05pm I always enjoy reading pathetic blogs from a narcissistic bloviator. Someone that spent d*mn near a lifetime chasing a meaningless record only to nearly lose it to some young kid in a year's time. Lucky for him that Ben was respectful to his elders and let him share the spotlight.
But I think it's just me....based on the traffic to the site, it seems to be wildly popular
"Onegranddiscgolftour.com is ranked #9,826,563 in the world according to the three-month Alexa traffic rankings."

Most don't see the 'big picture.'
RSR has a lot of potential. Love the hills! Florida Hills!?
I would advise against a Golf Cart. It slows things down. THere are many places that you can not take a cart. Tus you'll have to leave the cart, throw, walk back to the cart, drive as close as you can to you disc.
Example........
There was a group of guys with carts that were four holes in front of us when my Wife and I went. We ended up catching up and they had to let us play through. We finished 18 and they were on 16.
