Well our "Gas Worthy" Road Trip RT. 66 stamped Discraft order came in yesterday... I couldn't be more pleased how the artwork turned out. You can swing by my page and see the artwork in my photo slide show...

Nice to see others like to keep track of what is on the Mother Road...

Riverview Park DGC in Miami, OK (Pronounced my-am-uh, a name of Native American origin) is along Historic Route 66. Route 66 has had extensive re-alignments through the years in Miami, OK. Google shows "Historic Route 66" following US69 and OK10 West from Downtown Miami, OK. But, if you want to drive the oldest part of Route 66 in Oklahoma, then the bridge that crosses the Neosho River (South of Miami, OK) is the route to follow (currently called OK125). The following webpage has called this old part of Historic Route 66 the Sidewalk Highway:

http://www.historic66.com/oklahoma/det-ok1.html

Below is a short blurb from the webpage noted above about the “Sidewalk Highway”:

“Do not take this alignment when wet. This alignment includes portions that are partially dirt road and partially paved (pavement is in total 8 foot wide).

Continue straight onto Main St. (OK-125).

Continue slight right as Main St. becomes E St. (OK-125).

Continue straight (South) onto on E St. at the intersection with 120 road (OK-125).

8 foot wide road, drive slowly, there's a true relic of times past under your wheels!

Turn right (West) onto E 130 Rd.

Turn left (South) onto S 540 Rd.

Turn right (West) onto E 140 Rd.

Turn left (South) onto US-69 (US59, OK-66).”

I played a tournament at this DGC a few weeks ago. I drove this very old portion of Route 66 (as I do every time I am in Miami, OK) when the tournament was over.

I really think there could be a real cool RT. 66 Tourney Series... Going East to West or West to East... I am more than sure there is enough courses...

What other courses are along the Mother Road?

Lincoln Park sits on 5th St. in Springfield, IL which was part of Historic Route 66 from 1926 to 1930.
