I like the idea of the Buncr rule, I'm going to campaign and see if we can't have that rule during one of our tourneys next year.

I think that it is an interesting variation of the rules, and is better than having an island hole where you get no credit for being in-bounds over the island, and having to throw again with a penalty stroke.

What do people think of the buncr rule that was in place at this years USDGC? I was thinking of having this in place for a few tournaments if I get my way.

We've had discussions recently on the whole sidewalk rule. During league I will declare them as o.b. when landed upon. Is this merely a matter of declaration?

Big pet peeve of mine is playing tourneys and people not knowing the rules and arguing about them. It seems that we have people that want to throw provisionals or "something" and then mark it on the card and have the TD or an official decide after the round.

If you join the PDGA, they send you a book....READ IT PEOPLE!!!!

K, done ranting about it, I'm sure you all feel the same way or have been in this position. What amazes me is that a lot of people that I play with that have been playing a long time (leagues and tourneys) still don't know the rules of play. I've met some pros that seemed grey on a lot of stuff....sup with that? Their the role models so to speak, but I'm surprised when I see violations and they have to discuss it with the group.

I'm glad that we got some new members, I just wish that we had some stuff to talk about. Anyone???

OK, let's try it again. Any controversies or animated discussions going on concerning how a certain rule is interpreted? Or does anyone have a rule they would like to discuss? Maybe I will after the next time I play a tournament, but right now, I don't.

How about this interpretation - If I make a foot fault call on player A, and do not get a second because players B and C were not paying attention, do I have any recourse against these 2 players? Can I give them a courtesy violation, because they were not in a position to either second my call, or disagree?
