Whats A Newb?

At what point does one move out of the Newbie catagory?

I've been playing for about 7 months now but I still consider myself a newbie. Especially when I look at the inconsistency of my scores. I've shot some pretty decent rounds, -4 my best, but turn around the very next day and shoot 5 over with the course set up exactly the same. Its frustrating.
