I'm sure most of you heard about this course... Well the first 9 holes have been approved by the city of Watsonville. It is now up to all of us to man up and help this course in anyway possible. Please Donate your time or your knowledge to what I think could be possibly one of the best courses in California. If you have not been there I'll describe it as a hybrid of Golden Gate Park, meets De Laveaga, meets Lake Casitas in Ventura, CA. Obviously all of these courses are world class. If you would like to come down and help contact Tom Schot or me and we can set you up. I went out a couple times already and it's not exactly back breaking labor. I brought some gloves and was pretty much clearing trees and limbs. There is virtually no heavy wood trees to clear. Only light mostly dead trees and limbs. It makes for quick and easy work. We just want to get these awesome 9 holes in the ground so we can establish yet another challenging course in the general Santa Cruz area. Besides it looks like the city will be looking to shutting down numerous holes at De Laveaga due to them concentrating on the erosion and monitoring the heavy heavy human traffic on the land. So if you want to help please do. Contact Tom Schot or Stan Pratt for more info on the when, where, and how info. Any help is greatly appreciated by the DDGC. Thank you for reading.
