The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

in missouri we have our own disc golf company (gateway) and also hosted the worlds in kc this year so what else do we need to do to make us as premire as say michigan, or cali? also i know there has to be disc golfers in the state that dont reside in stl or kc so to all of you small town discgolfers out there like my self please stand up and tell us about disc golf in your area of the state, i thankfully live only about 30 minutes outside of st.louis so i do have a great selection of courses to play but i would like to have courses in every county of the state so that every missourian can get strung out on disc golf like me:)

It seems to me that if we do not measure up to the top tier of states, then we have to knuckle down and do things even better. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. So let us start by using them as a template, borrow some ideas. Like $10 off of tournaments with proof of unemployment, give a small bag of sand to the winners of the lower brackets in a fun way to tell them to move up. We also need to do things like be proactive on erosion issues when installing courses, it is easier & more cost effective to prevent it than to try and fix it. We need to have trash & recycle cans at every teepad, and benches at each pad would go a long way in raising the bar for MO. We could even impliment a texting system similiar to what schools have, for events that have multiple courses and drive time, in case there is a major change in the event or a road closed down from a accident. That way everyone would be in the know in a worse case scenario. These are just a few ideas, some good, some maybe not so good, but ideas anyway.
Fly long & prosper!
sandbags might fix the local tourny scene for us in st.louis :) bruce who did you slaughter to get that low tag number i dont show up to lakers for a month and you drop two hundred some odd numbers.......well played sir:) yah i would definetly like to see course improvements at some of the local courses like unger which i think would be a great course with a couple thousand dollars dumped into it in signs, pads, trash cans, benchs and a HUGE sign that says warning this lake eats plastic like candy
