I know this is a pic of me throwing a backhand drive, but i am a 50/50 player choosin my type of shot based on the the shot and weather conditions. I even sidearm putt sometimes!

I think a majority of Sidearm/Forehand players are 50/50. I drive forehand, but putt/approach backhand. Then you have the Thumber/Tommy (variation of back/forehand). so, I too believe that I shoot 50/50.
I, too, let the situation dictate how I should throw, Ben. Being confident both ways is the key. I don't want to say to myself, "I should probably throw one way, but this way is more comfortable." There is a place for every throw.
I drive 90% forehand, approach shots are 90% backhand and putting is backhand. Just the way it is.
It is good to have as many throws as poss in your bag......Thats why i go to school on everyone however they throw it...IE; cut rollers ,backhand rollers, Tomahawks, thumbers....do it up & knock em down.....
