Reply to Karen Casey looking for more distance. Everyone has a little different style but I have worked endlessly on on my sidearm and I think there are two keys to distance no matter what else you do. 1. you have to explode through that release zone, that 3 foot small area where it all happens, really explode. And 2. make sure you rotate your hips, very vital to completing the explosion, if you do not rotate you usually end up slicing it or getting too much air. Your back foot should end up either parallel to you or even better in front of you. I have added probably 30-50 feet or more by focusing on those two things. Making this comment without analyzing your video, just a fundamental to apply to your throw.
Good Luck

Sidearm is the only thing I have, other then mid and putt shoots. I killed my back two years ago hanging drywall, and a long backhand kills me! I'm looking forward to reading what you all have to say about sidearm and hope to better mine, I'm looking forward to meeting all you guys and i'm sure we'll talk!

I throw 30% farther sidearm than backhand.

The other day, I was playing with a good friend of mine when we came up to a hole that he always deuces. He threw and of course came close to the basket. When I came up, he asked me what I was doing trying to throw sidearm. I just let it rip and overshot the basket, landing about 10 ft away. He said he never saw anybody do that before. After that he stopped ragging on me about throwing sidearm.

90% of my drives are sidearm, except downhill shots. I like the champmonster for under 300 ft. and the star destroyer for longer shots. I've just started to sidearm mid-shots.The accericy is there, but I tend to over shoot.I'm still looking for a good mid-sidearm disc.Late

I just started playing on the 17th... I was at our local course playing with my 2 buddies that have been playing for a while and i was just totally stinkin it up off the tee with the back hand throw... about half way threw the course my buddy told me to try and forehand off the tee. I kinda looked at him funny (cuz I had no clue what the term ment at the time) and he explained to me how to throw the shot, and I've been a natural forehander.

The other day, I was playing with this random guy out on the course when I tee'd off and landed about 5 ft from the basket. He looked at me and said " I hate all of you sidearms. You go twice the distance and make it look effortless." Hahahha! Just thought I would share that.
