We had our league party yesterday. Rained all day. Was better than staying home with the ol' lady. Plus there is a great feeling about taking home another frist place trophy. Go team orange.

Played last night with Drew and Adrian, we got lucky as we got a little wet but the storm passed just to the south of us and the lightning never got closer than about five or six miles away.

Had my round cut short due to lightning with some serious verticle strikes. When they moved to within a couple miles, i bugged out. Two of my buddies kept playing but like I told them, I'm headed to Hawai'i in a week and a half and I'll be damned if I'm gonna miss that because I got struck by lightning.
So, maybe I don't have sense to come out of the rain, but I do for lightning.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT, hail, 60+ MPH winds, and flash flooding (over 7in. in less than 18 hrs) and yet we still tried to play, we actually got in 13 out of 18 holes, CRAZY

So the rain scared everyone off from the mini yesterday, bunch of wusscakes. Barry and I decided to play in the rain anyway. Just heavy enough to need an umbrella but no lightning. The teeboxes were terrible so we just shifted to good grass while we wait for the cement tees to get installed. I stayed and played a second round and the sun almost came out and the rain turned into a mist so I put up the umbrella and played on.
I was singing in the rain even though I threw six over both rounds.

Man, what a rain yesterday, like a cow pissin on a flat rock. The course should be fun to play today, here we go.

You should've drove west, after all that went through, we played a round and by the time we got to hole two, the sun was out. On the drive home, I go up and over the ridge line, I stopped on the side of the road and watched the thunderstorm that produced the tornado and hail. The lightning was a friggin awesome spectacle and the wall cloud was huge. I could see thirty to forty miles away from up there off of 730 halfway between Weatherford and Azle.
