Glad it's not just me. Yesterday I was doing some amazing drives, and some amazingly bad putts!

Was playing my 2nd tourny ever this past saturday and I had a great drive on hole 13 (1st hole of tourny). I am about 10-15 feet out and at an elevation of about 5 feet. I tell myself to snap the putt and not to be scared of missing the shot. Of course I throw up a soft limp hyzer put that rims out and rolls about 40 feet past the basket. They call it a tupelo roll or so I was told. I then missed the par put and got me a bogey. I did make a great par save later but anyway...

I don't think I have ever actually hit a putt. More of a it falls close and I drop it in.

Just had a nasty round this last past Saturday. I could putt to save my life.. so many circle 5's and one 7. I definitely belong in this group after that. I'm either on like Donky Kong or off.

Finishing the Lumber Cup at West Park in Joliet, IL on the lead card...
OK drive, upshot OB, circle 5.
Drive OB, made circle 3 putt. (maybe I can salvage this round?)
Mediocre drive, doink great attempt at putt, par.
Last hole; good drive, approach a little short, par putt with water behind and...
DOINK putt on front of basket, catch an edge and the damned thing rolls into the water, CIRCLE BLOODY 5 to finish.

Two stories:

Last January, during an ice bowl in Milwaukee I missed (4) 10' putts during an alternate shot doubles round to go from 2nd to 7th. Now I can't putt without thinking about that round.

At the end of last year during a B-Tier, I was 1 stroke back going into my last hole. It was a 200' open hole...no trees or anything. I was 35' out for my birdie putt and I had hit 7+ jump putts during the tourney. I jump putted off the top of the basket to about 20' away. I airballed right, then airballed left, and then took my sweet 5...which landed me in 5th place.

Time to practice some putting.

too many horror stories from my end...yesterday I chained out a 15ft bird, then going for par from 6 ft it hit chains pole and then the lip of the basket and fell out...took a 4 on a easy birdie hole...yikes

Some days, I can make most putts. Hard ones, easy ones, long ones. A few weeks ago, I was making them from my knees and around trees. Then, my next round, I was sweating 10 foot putts! You miss one easy one and It's all down hill!
