hey all! just thought id get some input from you guys... i have recently started throwing tomahawk for many of my drives... however i havent heard anyone describe my release/flight pattern in previous discussions, so i want some feedback.
i am holding the disc with a sidearm power grip (see photo 1) but i am releasing the disc almost parallel (somewhere between 0 and 45 deg) upside down. (see photo 2, sorry for crappy mirror shot) i have heard most other tomahawkers releasing at 12:00 (which i do if i am trying to get out of the woods etc) but havent heard of anyone releasing this far over... more like 10:00...
the result i get is an s curve (see photo 3) that, if thrown correctly lands flight plate down (not on the edge rolling like the usual tomahawk/thumber) and i often get a nice skip off the flight plate of a few more feet... (kinda like a scooby?)
anyone else throw like this? your thoughts?
