what dye to use?

I use RIT.I use rit with water,acetone and rubbing alcohol.
But I also heard about some other dyes people use.
Here are a few of my designs.
Bare with me cuz' I am just starting....

This was realy brown but playing with it,it sort of turned into greenish/brown

Ihave also just started and use powdered rit & water. I am exploring other methods but have heard that the powdered rit is the best.
